It shapes the network’s long‑term strategic direction and leads international coordination, ensuring AI Without Borders operates as a unified, globally connected platform capable of advancing responsible AI across borders.

Public Policy and Governnace

The mission of the Public Policy & Governance department is to shape and advance coherent, globally informed AI governance frameworks that promote safety, equity, and accountability across borders. The department engages policymakers, regulatory bodies, and international institutions to develop harmonized policies, strengthen institutional capacity, and ensure that AI systems are governed in ways that uphold human rights, public trust, and long‑term societal well‑being.

Global Equity & Social Impact

The mission of the Global Equity & Social Impact department is to ensure that the benefits of AI are accessible, inclusive, and equitably distributed across all communities. The department leads initiatives that apply AI to humanitarian, development, and social‑impact challenges, working with global partners to uplift underserved populations, reduce structural inequities, and advance technology that strengthens human well‑being and opportunity worldwide.

Research, Foresight & Innovation

The mission of the Research, Foresight & Innovation department is to generate cutting‑edge insights that anticipate the future of AI and guide global decision‑making. The department conducts rigorous research on emerging technologies, models long‑term risks and opportunities, and incubates innovative solutions that advance safe, equitable, and human‑centered AI development across borders.
